Contact Lens Department

Contact Lenses | Lone Tree | Castle RockOur goal at MV is to make your contact lens experience a success.  We strive to use the latest materials and technologies in contact lenses to provide the highest quality of care to our contact lens patients.  We want each contact lens patient to have the best fit, vision and comfort to meet their individual needs.  We offer a complete selection of contact lenses, including daily-wear, astigmatic, toric and multi-focal soft and gas permeable lenses.

New Contact Lens Patients

First time wearers will need a current comprehensive eye exam by one of our doctors to determine if they are a good candidate for contact lens wear.  We then discuss all options to determine the lens design that is compatible to the patient’s visual correction, lifestyle, and eye health needs. Time will be spent instructing the patient on insertion, removal, and care of the contact lenses.  A trial pair of contacts and lens care solution may be dispensed for free on this visit as well.  Follow-up visits are required to ensure a satisfactory fit and movement of the initial lens for continued success.

Experienced Contact Lens Patients

We follow our contact lens wearers every 6-12 months, depending on contact lens fit, prescription, and eye health.  These visits are also meant to be able to continually offer our contact lens patients the latest and greatest in contact lens products as they become available.

Contact Lens Prescription

It is important to understand that the prescription for contact lenses and glasses are not the same.  Because the contact lens is placed directly on the eye, the power of the contact lens may be different than the power of the eyeglasses.  It is strongly recommended that the contact lens patients have a back-up pair of eyeglasses with their most current prescription.  This is in the event that a contact lens wearer is unable to wear contacts.  We also recommend that all contact lens patients have a pair of sunglasses to protect the eye and its surrounding structures.

Order Contact Lenses

CRT | Corneal Refractive Therapy | Lone Tree | Castle RockContact lens prescriptions are valid for 1 year, assuming there is not a change in prescription, brand of contact lens, or eye health.  You may order and pick-up your contact lenses at our office.  We now offer the convenience of on-line ordering through www.1contacts.com, an independent contact lens company partnering with us.

For more information about contact lenses, please call our office with questions.  Ask our office about corneal refractive therapy (CRT), a non-surgical procedure to reshape the cornea while asleep.  This allows freedom from the hassle of glasses and contacts during the day.

Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
